At approximately 18:10 on June 24th, 2017, Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to the 600 block of Carisbrooke Road in Bryn Mawr for a building fire with a report of smoke in the attic. With initial reports of a person still in the building, the fire company responded to learn that the conditions had worsened and the working fire upgrade was sent. Handlines and supply lines were put in place by Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne and both companys' ladder trucks were put in service for the roof work. Crews from 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 21, 22 and 313 all did their part to bring the fire under control and perform extensive overhaul. At approximately 19:01 the fire was placed under control. And, just after 10pm the companies were back in service. This was a team effort with a lot of grunt work and a job well done by everyone.
