Following the 1985 Villanova NCAA Men's National Basketball Championship, two young men decided to become the first student volunteers of Bryn Mawr Fire Company. While not everyone embraced this new source of membership right off the bat, the leadership of the fire company saw an opportunity and wisely welcomed Bob Corrigan and Greg Skinner as their first two student volunteers. Both Bob and Greg have gone on to successful careers as first responders and public servants and continue to support Bryn Mawr Fire Company. We thank them for their bravery not only to become firefighters, but for breaking the mold and starting a program that lives on today. Each year Bryn Mawr welcomes new members from the Villanova student body who want to be part of our organization and who want to learn about serving their community. We are grateful to Bob and Greg and look forward to next year's new members.
