At approximately 18:38, Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to assist Ardmore Fire Company on a building fire in the 200 block of Cheswold Hill Road. While enroute, the call was upgraded to a working fire with fire in the attic of the house. On arrival Engine 23's crew hit the hydrant, picked up the initial supply line connection and laid an additional line. From there, crews from Bryn Mawr assisted with roof ventilation and overhaul. The coordination of a quick knock on the fire and providing ventilation allowed the fire to be brought under control quickly and limit further damage to the home. Station 23 was back in service just after 21:40.
