Just after noon on Wednesday, June 3rd a fast moving storm, called a Derecho, ripped through the area with winds in excess of 80 mph and heavy rainfall. In just a short period of time a tremendous amount of damage occurred including downed trees and wire, trees into houses and then a number of CO calls involving generators. Bryn Mawr Fire Company's members responded to ~50 calls in just under 60 hours. After three days, crews are still responding to calls as power is restored to the remaining neighborhoods.
