Just after 02:30, Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to the Oakhill Apartments in Lower Merion for a building fire. Enroute reports were relayed of heavy smoke showing, working fire and several tenants trapped. Crews from Bryn Mawr worked together with the other Lower Merion companies to extinguish the fire, remove those who were trapped or forced to shelter in place and perform extensive overhaul. Quick work by the initial teams limited the fire exposure, but the smoke damage spread throughout the building. Crews were back in service just after 05:00.
