On Monday nights, firefighters and trainees from Bryn Mawr Fire Company participate in training and education sessions. This past Monday, we conducted a series of drills at the Lower Merion Township Training Facility where firefighters learned and practiced techniques for rescuing other firefighters. The Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) is an essential part of the strategy when we respond to emergency incidents and dedicates a crew of firefighters to be prepared at a moment's notice to rescue one of our own.
