Located at 901 W. Lancaster Avenue in the heart of Bryn Mawr, the Bryn Mawr Firehouse is home to Ladder 23, Engine 23, and Squad 23. For over 100 years our volunteers have served Lower Merion and Radnor Township residents in their times of need. This year our 3 fulltime Engineers, 5 officers and more than 30 Hosemen will respond approximately 700 calls including Structure Fires, Brush Fires, Fire and Carbon Monoxide Alarms, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Motor Vehicle Fires, Wires Down, Utility Standby, EMS Assist, Major Medical Emergencies, Helicopter Landing Zone setups, and many more.


Built on a foundation of tradition, training, family, and community service, the Bryn Mawr Fire Company proudly serves its Delaware and Montgomery County residents. At Bryn Mawr we pride ourselves on maintaining our traditions and level of service from the past while constantly working to remain ahead of the times and at the top of our game. Led by Danny Kincade, only the 10th chief in our over 100 year history, the Bryn Mawr Fire Company's volunteers are here to serve you and your family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Woman Rescued From Under Her Car

At approximately 15:30 hours, Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to a parking lot near Bryn Mawr Hospital for a report of a woman trapped underneath her car. Upon arrival, crews found a woman pinned between her car and a pole at the pay station of the parking lot. For the past several weeks BMFC has had the opportunity to run drills on a house that is scheduled for demolition. We have taught and reviewed skills for members of all levels of training. Topics we've reviewed included search and rescue, ventilation, overhaul, forcible entry, firefighter survival and rescue, sizeup and roof work. Monday night training: Teaching the firefighters of the future

Every Monday night the members of Bryn Mawr Fire Company gather at the firehouse for weekly training. This past week we featured a drill where the more experienced members were partnered with our newest trainees to work on some of the fundamentals critical to the start of the learning process. At approximately 11:00 Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to a fully involved vehicle in the parking lot of the Barrack Hebrew Academy. BMFC assists Station 25 on a house fire

At approximately 17:15 Bryn Mawr Fire Company was dispatched to 16 School Lane in the Ardmore section of Lower Merion Township to assist Station 25 with a building fire. Initial reports of smoke coming from the third floor were later upgraded to fire showing from the third floor. An aggressive attack kept the fire to the already affected space in the home.
